Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal information Level Bookkeeping collects through this website, by phone and by email, why, and what happens to it. {{TODO: legal name and operating entity (a partnership is being set up).}}

The contact form: your name, your email address, your phone number if you add it, your type of business, and your message.

Phone messages: calls are answered by an automated answering service, which may record your call and takes your name, number and message.

Email: whatever you choose to send.

This website doesn’t use advertising trackers, and it doesn’t set cookies of its own.

Messages from the contact form, phone messages and recordings, and emails are used only to respond to your enquiry. If we go on to work together, the details you give me are also used to provide your bookkeeping. Your information isn’t sold or shared for marketing.

The contact form is delivered by Formspree, a form service that passes your message to my email. Phone messages are handled by an automated answering service. I use providers that handle your information only to deliver it to me. {{TODO: confirm the form provider, and name the answering service and email provider.}}

If you become a client, your financial records are handled with care, used only to provide your bookkeeping, and kept for as long as the law requires (business records are generally kept for six years).

Information you send is used only for the purposes above, kept only as long as it’s needed, and stored with the providers named above. No system is perfectly secure, so please don’t send bank passwords or full account numbers by email, by phone message or through the contact form.

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page.
